My last visit to Plentyfull was back in December 2016. I am back here again to check out their updated home-cooked meals dinner menu recently. Plentyfull has made some changes on their space by evolving the market table luncheon spread to an intimate full service restaurant by nightfall.
Moving on to the dishes we tried that night:
Seasonal Vegetable Tart S$16.00++
Photo-worthy vegetable tart that you wouldn’t want to miss when you are here. The vegetable tart served with greens include cauliflower, cucumber, fresh tomatoes and edible flowers. The crunchy tart complements the ingredients well.
Beetroot Risotto S$24.00++
Arborio rice with a medley of beetroot and pecorino cheese , which enhances the salty flavour of the dish. I am not a big fan for beetroot so I would skip this dish.
5-Spiced Duck Leg Confit S$28.00++
The fusion-style 5-spiced duck leg confit served with cucumber , radish salad and complete with mantou at the sides.
Grilled Natural Grass Fed Striploin S$36.00++
Grilled striploin served with miso tahini, leeks and veal jus. If only they can work on the meat texture to even softer texture, it would be good.
Grilled Spiced Lamb Ribs S$30.00++
Slow cooked grilled lamb ribs served with smoked yoghurt, edamame and horseradish. My favourite dish as I enjoyed the tenderness of the meat texture. Lamb itself has the acquired taste that not everyone can accept it. But this dish is well-executed with firm and juicy meat texture and not too lamb-y in taste.
There are selection of cakes and pastries made in-house as well. We had Rose & Strawberry Panna Cotta S$14.00++ , Coconut Crème Brulee S$14.00++ and Miso Souffle S$16.00++ . My favourite dessert is the Miso Souffle served with toasted walnut ice-cream.The soufflé texture is moist and melts in your mouth. The coconut crème brulee is pretty good with the salted gula melaka ice-cream to compliment it.
And for the month of May, There is a special collaboration with Chef-Owner Jean-Philippe Patruno of critically acclaimed Dehesa. The chef will be The chef will be joining Head Chef Victor Loy of Plentyfull, for an exclusive two-night only dinner in May.
