This is my second time to Mad for Garlic restaurant and this time round with my family over the weekend. My parents are in town and my dad calls the shot. I showed him the list of the participating restaurants on The Entertainer App and he decided on this. We walked over from Carlton Hotel and it took us approximately 20-30minutes walk.
We were there around 7pm and queued for approximately 15minutes before we secure a table for 5 pax.
Mad for Garlic is originated from Korea. I was surprised when I read about it. Their menu incorporates garlic in their dishes. The interior of the restaurant is also decorated with garlic.
Since there are 5 of us, I get to use two of the redemptions under the app (2:1). Here are the dishes we ordered:
Garlic Snowing Pizza S$24.00++
One of their best seller pizzas here served with special sweet garlic pizza topped with shrimps and pineapple slices. The service staff will shave a block of fresh grana padano parmesan cheese at your table. Look at the white snow flakes all over the pizza. It is definitely a sinful yet satisfying thin crusted pizza. My parents loved it.
Crab & Lobster Pasta S$24.00++
Al-dente pasta served with crab meat, lobster meat and garlic cream sauce. Although it is stated garlic cream sauce, the garlic taste is subtle though.
Garlic Hug Steak S$38.00++
My mum ordered well-done garlic hugged tenderloin steak grilled to perfection with white cream sauce.

My dad was craving for steak so he decided to try this rib-eye steak served on a sizzling plate. He chose Australian Beef instead of USDA Certified Black Angus S$48.00++. He has to eat fully cooked food so the beef is prepared is well-done as well.
Grilled Chicken Ssam S$23.00++
My sister ordered grilled chicken served with fresh salad along with dough puff and homemade garlic yogurt sauce. The garlic yogurt sauce definitely added the flavours to the grilled chicken and dough puff.
Total bill after redeeming The Entertainer App was S$117.70 (include 10% service charge and 7% GST).Thanks The Entertainer App for the saving! Bill payment is to be made at the cashier counter even though we are paying for the service charge. As a whole, we do enjoy the food served here but I think they need to work on the serving time. This happens even during my first visit here. The interval serving between dishes are too long. My dad’s steak was served last and my sister is almost done with her food by that time. I think they need to work on the interval timing.
