Saveur, local French restaurant is well-known with their signature Saveur Pasta and Duck Confit. My first visit to Saveur was few years back in 2012 and I even blogged about it here. Saveur has been in F&B industry for 7 years and they recently awarded as one of Singapore’s Top Restaurants (2018). Time flies!
The brand has ventured to its chain of restaurants and here I am visiting their Frapasbar located at Century Square. This is my second visit here. I had my lunch here not long ago as they offered quite an affordable lunch set.
Frapasbar is their new concept that offers tapas-style food, paired with a well-furnished bar and affordable dining experience. So I am trying their tapas-style food instead of the usual choice.
Valrhona Beef Bourguignon S$14.00
With the price offer, I think this beef stew in red wine, bcon, carrots and valrhona chocolate dish is quite a deal. The addition of chocolate into the red wine sauce adds a depth flavours to rich meaty beef stew.
Pariser Schnitzel S$13.00
Pork cutlet coated with cereal and served along with red cabbage compote. The pork cutlet texture was tender and juicy. There is any “porky’ after taste flavour in it.
Escargot on Bone Marrow S$20.00
Pan grilled Bone Marrow finished with Chimichurri sauce and oven baked. Creamy nuttiness and yet not gamey taste all. I love it with the price offered and of course the generosity of escargot served on top of it.
Berries Clafoutis S$9.00
I would recommend this for choice of dessert here. I enjoyed this warm fruit classic French dessert.
Frapasbar also offer cocktail drinks priced at S$9.00 and mocktail drinks from $7.00 onwards. Draft beer is available at S$10.00. With such pricing, the heartlanders can easily enjoy French cuisine without burning a hole in their pocket.
