Niku Soba Keisuke is the 8th ramen concept and 12th outlet by Ramen Keisuke Group. Mark your calendar as the restaurant is opening on 21 September 2020.This is their first joint ramen concept, alongside the adjacent Tonkotsu King ( Paya Lebar). The restaurant caters 49-seater venue (comprising Niku King’s 25 seats and Tonkotsu King’s 24 seats).
Niku King concept offers ramen filled to the brim with slices of thick, succulent Pork Chasyu slices. Each bowl is made with wider ramen noodle that better holds onto the thick broth and generous toppings of bamboo shoots, naruto ( Japanese fish cake), seaweed, ginger oil as grated ginger.
The ramen is available in three styles- Shoyu Ramen from S$11.90++ , Miso Ramen from S$12.90++ and Tonkotsu Ramen from S$13.90++.
We tried all three styles with flavoured egg and added additional S$1.00 per portion for spicy paste for the Miso Ramen.
If you prefer lighter flavour, go for the soy sauce-based broth.
Alternatively, go for their signature tonkotsu base broth made from boiling pork bones, collagen and chicken bones over high heat got hours. The broth packed with flavours and satisfying. What makes the ramen bowl different from other outlets ate their generous serving of soft and tender Pork Loin Chasyu slices. Add-ons for toppings pricing range from S$1.00 – S$6.00. The serving size is generous and it is just nice for guys. If you are a small eater, I guess sharing a bowl of ramen is possible.
Rice options are available in the menu include Keisuke Egg Rice ( Fluffy Egg on Rice) S$7.90++, Mentaiko Rice ( Cod Roe om Rice) S$4.90++ and Niku Soboro Rice ( Minced Pork on Rice ) S$3.90++.
Look at the pillowy-soft, fluffy egg blanket envelopes a warm bed of Japanese rice topped with Pork Chasyu bits and special Chasyu sauce. It will be good if they can have more pork chasyu bits though.
Lastly, check out their Salmon Rare Katsu (Deep Fried Salmon) S$8.90++ served with tartar, spicy samurai and soy sauces. Breaded slices of sashimi-grade salmon are fried to a crisp on the outside but kept rate and tender on the inside. Shiok!
