LUCE has opened for almost a year now and I still remembered my first visit here. This time round, my friend and I went for Saturday lunch date here over the weekend. She is a fan of Italian cuisine, and this lunch session delights her with the classic Italian flavours by Chef de Cuisine Davide Giacomelli.
Bread from the counter to start off before our starter is served.
There are three starters to choose from- Italian Angus beef tartare, Parma ham and Parmesan cheese and asparagus with egg mimosa and Parmesan shavings. We opted for the Italian Angus beef tartare topped with cheese shavings.
Mains (First Course)
For the first course, we only allow to choose one from three choices- Pinsa Tonno e Cipolle Pinsa with homemade tomato sauce, scamorza, tuna belly and red onion, Tagliatelle al Ragu alla (Bolognese Fresh homemade tagliatelle pasta with beef and pork bolognese ragu ) or Acquerello al Gorgonzola ((Vegetarian) Carnaroli rice cooked in vegetable stock creamed with gorgonzola).
We ordered Tagliatelle al Ragu alla. Authentic fresh homemade tagliatelle pasta with beef and pork bolognese ragu. Succulent, ruddy pasta with rich and hearty meat sauce.
Mains (Second Course)
For the second course, diners are allowed to choose two of of three choices as well. The three options include Barramundi alla Puttanesca (Pan-fried barramundi with fresh tomato sauce, Taggiasca olives, anchovies, Pantelleria capers and fresh herbs ), Spezzatino di Agnello ( Australian lamb stew with seasonal vegetables, olives and lemon confit ) or Parmigiana di Melanzane ((Vegetarian) Baked aubergine mille-feuille with fresh tomato sauce, basil, Italian cheese au gratin).
We tried Pan-fried barramundi and the Australian lamb stew. Both are not bad but what impressed us is the Australian lamb stew with seasonal vegetables, olives, and lemon confit. It was well-executed and had no gamey taste at all. Soft, tender, and full of flavours!
For desserts, diners can get them from the display counter station. Expect to indulge in desserts like Luce-Misu, Chocolate and Caramel Cake, Lemon Cake, Cannoli, Hazelnut Bomboloni, Pistachio/Amaretti Biscuits, Chocolate Cookies, Gelato and Sorbet and Seasonal Fruit Platter. Diners can eat-all-you can with the unlimited servings.
Complete the meal with your choice of coffee or tea or pamper yourself with unlimited servings of Processo or cocktails drinks. Additional charges are applicable.
PROMOTION: Exclusively for Club Icon members, enjoy 10% off (food only) for the month of February.
