[SG EATS]DINING WITH THE HALIA SINGAPORE BOTANIC GARDENS

Halia is known as ginger in Malay language. The Halia restaurant provides a modern European cuisine with slight twist of Asian flavours dining experience. I was at their first restaurant located at Singapore Botanic Gardens last week. The restaurant has recently revamped with a new dining experience. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas with more spacious and comfortable seating place for diners to sit back and immerse into the nature beauty in the garden. [JB EATS] LEMON TREE AT TAMAN MELODIES | JOHOR BAHRU

Do you know there was once ‘Lemon Tree’ song was famous? I still remember my singing choir during good old school days choose this song to compete and we won 1st prize.
The name of the restaurant comes after the hype of the song and the owner, Jeffrey decided to use it as the name of the restaurant. Lemon Tree is located along shophouses facing residential place called Taman Melodies. The restaurant is actually 7 minutes away from KSL City Mall. The location is not easily identified if you are not a local here but GPS and Google Maps are useful for those who are driving. [JB TRAVEL]HOW TO GET TO KSL CITY MALL FROM JB CUSTOM CHECK POINT?

Ever since the currency rate is 1: 3 , there is a drastic increase of human traffic daily from Singapore checkpoint to Malaysia checkpoint. Many took the option via public transport CW1, SBS 170 / 160 , 950 etc to cross the causeway. So, other than cafehopping by foot and shopping malls next to JB checkpoint, KSL shopping mall is another option. There is KSL Hotel & Resorts for a weekend staycation. [SG EATS] UDON FEAST WITH MARU-TEN UDON

I was at Maru-Ten Udon located at United Square 2 weeks back with fellow foodies for a tasting session. Maru-Ten started venturing into Singapore F&B in June 2015 and has 4 outlets up to today. I visited their outlet in United Square which is a walking distance from Novena MRT station. Maru-Ten is just opposite Subway and also food court in the mall facing the landscape area.
