In Singapore, we have quite a number of Bangkok-style coconut ice-cream opening this year. But if you are residing in Malaysia, Sangkaya is the one that the locals are raving about recently. The brand itself started off at Kuala Lumpur (KL) selling coconut ice-cream based desserts is founded by Malaysian. It started with a small stall selling coconut ice-cream at Jalan Alor Bukit Bintang and expand with 31 and counting physical stores across Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. Korea Fried Chicken craze is spreading fast and Johor Bahru (JB) is picking up too. 22 Dul Dul Korea Fried Chicken is the first Korean style fried chicken that opened in Mount Austin, Johor Bahru recently. If you been to this area, the whole stretch of double-storey individual houses are bridal shops. I took a bus after work on Friday night and back to Singapore on Sunday afternoon. When in Melaka, do not miss out peranakan cuisine. I settled my lunch by opting for a peranakan food. Reservation was made a week before I headed to Malacca. I know I sound kiasu but just in case I miss it out. The restaurant tables are placed with the reservation tab with names on it. This shows how good business it is for Amy Heritage Nyonya Cuisine. There are many peranakan restaurants in Malacca but only few cooks are pure peranakan who cooks the cuisine. The glass house café located at Eco Spring Show Village, Johor Bahru is inspired by Jay Chou’s MV (Handwritten Past,手寫的從前) was operating since early September this month. The inspired cafe is going to be stationed there for around 2 month’s time. The café is currently operated by Coffee Concept Company.

My previous Johor Bahru Food Trail V.1 & V.2 were gone due to hosting migration issue. So, I am posting this new post that I have compiled since last year. Hope you guys find it useful when you are going across the causeway, Johor Bahru for cafe hopping and foodtrail.
