[JB EATS] LEMON TREE AT TAMAN MELODIES | JOHOR BAHRU

Do you know there was once ‘Lemon Tree’ song was famous? I still remember my singing choir during good old school days choose this song to compete and we won 1st prize.
The name of the restaurant comes after the hype of the song and the owner, Jeffrey decided to use it as the name of the restaurant. Lemon Tree is located along shophouses facing residential place called Taman Melodies. The restaurant is actually 7 minutes away from KSL City Mall. The location is not easily identified if you are not a local here but GPS and Google Maps are useful for those who are driving. [JB TRAVEL]HOW TO GET TO KSL CITY MALL FROM JB CUSTOM CHECK POINT?

Ever since the currency rate is 1: 3 , there is a drastic increase of human traffic daily from Singapore checkpoint to Malaysia checkpoint. Many took the option via public transport CW1, SBS 170 / 160 , 950 etc to cross the causeway. So, other than cafehopping by foot and shopping malls next to JB checkpoint, KSL shopping mall is another option. There is KSL Hotel & Resorts for a weekend staycation. I was in Johor Bahru (JB) over the weekend and decided to go for food hunt. As I chanced upon this Rainbow rice in Facebook (I know Facebook again!), I decided to give it a try. Café hopping JB over the weekend and this time I visited Carborn Café located at the new area called Pusat Pendangan Danga Utama. It is actually located at the left side on the new shop houses once you turned in seeing Taman Sutera Signage along the highway. Since we need to wait approximately 45 minutes for our Korean-style fried chicken to be ready, we decided to drive to Eco Spring Show Village for this newly pop up store called Lis Gelato. It is located just few foot steps away from Palladium Café (I blogged about it previously). Sangkaya 2nd Outlet in Johor Bahru is NOW opened at Jalan Dhoby. Those who are coming from Singapore are able to have a taste of this brand by FOOT.

In Singapore, we have quite a number of Bangkok-style coconut ice-cream opening this year. But if you are residing in Malaysia, Sangkaya is the one that the locals are raving about recently. The brand itself started off at Kuala Lumpur (KL) selling coconut ice-cream based desserts is founded by Malaysian. It started with a small stall selling coconut ice-cream at Jalan Alor Bukit Bintang and expand with 31 and counting physical stores across Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.
