So, Singapore Salted Egg Croissants war has begun early this year 2016. Flavour Flings Café is the first to launch followed by Antoinette on 1st February. And there are 3 more players in Singapore market. I have not got the chance to try yet. But I am back to Seven Oaks Bakery & Café on 31st January for their salted egg lava croissant. The craze over Gudetama continues in Hong Kong as Izumi Curry located at The One Shopping Mall decided to convert into a gudetama theme café. My first visit to Hong Kong Disneyland was in year 2010 and 5 years later I am back to the fairytale theme park. Disneyland holds the memories for both young and old. [JB EATS]MIYAKORI COFFEE CAFE IS NOW IN CITY SQUARE, JOHOR BAHRU

Miyakori Coffee is the latest café addition by foot in Johor Bahru. Their first outlet was located at Bukit Indah with cute theme interior design and menu. Congrats on the second outlet expansion and it is located just inside City Square Shopping mall. It’s an ideal location to have crowds coming in from Singapore. Miyakori Coffee is located at level 5 of the mall with a nice clean white furbished design. There are only coffee, tea, pastries and cakes available in this outlet. [HK EATS] ODDIES FOODIES- INSTAGRAM-WORTHY DESSERTS IN HONG KONG

Finally I got my hands on Oddies Foodies during my Hong Kong trip on December 2015. Oddies has opened a new branch on Gough Street, Sheung Wan recently and of course I headed to that direction. This new outlet has spacious seating area as compared to their first outlet at Wan Chai. I was there around 12 noon with my cousins and aunt. Surprisingly, there was no customer in the shop. [JB EATS] AYAM GORENG DAPUR KAYU | JOHOR BAHRU

I spent few days in JB on the last week of December 2015 and my dad recommended me to Ayam Goreng Dapur Kayu which is a short drive from our home. “Ayam Goreng” is referring to fried chicken in Malay language. What triggers me to post about this place is that the fried chicken here are prepared traditionally with firewood. “Kayu” means wood in Malay language. The stall has been in business for 40 years and currently is taken over by the second generation. Even my parents visited this stall for their fried chicken during the earlier days. Seven Oaks Bakery Café expanded their new branch at Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru (JB) about a week ago. The newly open bakery café has a grand ‘palace’ exterior and interior design that attracts the attention in social media, Facebook. I was invited for Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore’s Jen’s Doodle Party sometime back August this year. Illustrators from the Band of Doodlers drew live portraits on the hoarding with a speech bubble to encourage guests’ participation through penning their thoughts, or adding on to the art piece.
