Paradise Teochew has launched a brand-new 240 seater outlet in Vivocity recently. The dishes are specially curated by Executive Chef Cheng Fa Kwan. Cherry Garden located at Mandarin Oriental Singapore is well-known with Cantonese cuisine. There are many online reviews on their Dim Sum as well. I visited the restaurant a week before Chinese New Year for a reunion dinner with Eric. We were equally excited to check out their CNY menu but were disappointed on the day itself. We were told that the CNY menu is required to order in advance because it is not officially launched yet. We checked out other social media platforms and were not stated at all. Mellben Signature is known by the locals for their savoury chilli and butter crabs. But do you know that other than Mellben Signature located at Ang Mo Kio, you can find them at Tanjong Pagar? But do take note that they have change to a new location located at Tanjong Pagar Plaza. The previous location, Bestway Building is no longer operating. Just few days before CNY, my foodie friends and I decided to arrange a CNY dinner. We decided on Empress which is located in the iconic Asian Civilisations Museum. It is just a walking distance away from Raffles Place MRT station. Empress is a contemporary Chinese restaurant under the Prive Group with indoor and alfresco dining space. And not forgetting the view from the Empress is the Singapore River. The fusion style restaurant also serves cocktail drinks with a centralized bar in the centre of the restaurant.
