Din Tai Fung is a well-known Taiwanese style restaurant and it is one of the must-visit restaurants when in Taipei, Taiwan. The restaurant specializes in Xiao Long Bao and their pork chop fried rice. We were in Tokyo for a week and decided to have Chinese food for dinner on one of the night. Apart from famous Din Tai Fung in Taipei, you can opt for Kao Chi at Yong Kang Street, Taipei. The restaurant has several outlets across Taipei. But the one in Yong Kang Street seems to be a popular destination because of it’s 3-storey flagship store. The brand is established since 1949 and has been serving Shanghainese dishes. We arrived around 11 plus in the morning and got our queue number from the staff. We waited less than 20 minutes and managed to secure a table at level 3. Old Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Restaurant located at 74 Amoy Street offers a wide variety of Sichuan dishes.The restaurant is just a walking distance away from Telok Ayer MRT station. As I searched online about Sichuan food, I got to know that Chengdu was named a UNESCO City of Gastronomy and it is also one of the Eight Regional Cuisines of China.
