Apart from matcha desserts, Tokyo’s kakigori shaved ice desserts are recommended as well. We were looking for dessert place and came across this recommendation from online reviews. [JAPAN TRAVELS] 1 Day Trip to Ushiku Daibutsu (牛久大仏) from Tokyo- Once Tallest Buddha Figure in Guinness Book of Records

With our 5-DAY JR East Pass Rail, we decided to use 1 day to explore Ushiku Daibutsu (牛久大仏). Ushiku Daibutsu is a statue located in Ushiku, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. It is completed in 1993 and it stands a total of 120metres (390ft) tall, including the 10m (33ft) base and 10m lotus platform. The statue held the record for the tallest statue from 1993-2002. I finally visit Tokyo Disneyland during my recent trip to Tokyo, Japan. My last visit was to Hong Kong Disneyland few years ago. I was told that Tokyo Disneyland is the classic of all. [JAPAN TRAVELS] 1 Day Trip to Mount Nokogiriyama ( Hamakayana) from Tokyo

After exploring Kamakura, Nikko, we found another less touristy place, Mount Nokogiriyama. Nokogiri Yama (aka Sawtooth Mountain) is located in the Boso, Penisula in Chiba. It is known for two giant Buddhas, over 1500 arhats, temples and quarry caves. The mountain is also ideal for hiking with rewarding top view. I was invited by JPassport a week ago to attend Tottori Night at Japan Rail Café. Japan Rail Café is located at Tanjong Pagar Centre and easily accessible via Tanjong Pagar MRT station. It was my first time visiting Japan Rail Café although it has started operating since last year. The café has 3 sections which include retail corner, café area and also JTB counter. Yes! Fugu (pufferfish or blowfish) and this time I get to try it in Tokyo, Japan. My first experience was at Fugu Fine Fugu Kaiseki Restaurant in Singapore. Torafugu Tei is a chain of restaurant specializes in fugu dishes in Japan. We were attracted to the restaurant because of the live puffer fish tank displayed. [JAPAN EATS] HARAJUKU/ OMOTESANDO FOOD GUIDES IN TOKYO

During my December trip to Tokyo, Japan, I spent half a day at Harajuku/ Omotesando area for a food search. Both areas are centrally-located neighbourhoods in Tokyo. It is my first time to Japan and I am enjoyed every moment here. Omotesando is one of the luxury neighbourhoods in Tokyo where luxury brands are located along the streets.
