I stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown during my weekend trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is strategically located walking distance to the famous Petaling Street. With so many food choices around the area, I opted out the hotel breakfast. We decided to visit Sin Kiew Yee Shin Kee Beef Noodles. It is probably one of the oldest restaurants in Petaling Street (since 1930s) that is known for its homemade Hakka beef noodles. [M’sia Eats] Jade Garden Seafood Restaurant 翡翠园海鲜酒家 at Sungai Rengit, Pengerang | Johor

If you are planning for Desaru trip, do drive another 30 minutes to Sungai Rengit for live lobsters and seafood feast. Since we were heading to Desaru, we decided to visit Jade Garden Seafood Restaurant for lunch before check-in to Westin Desaru Coast. The restaurant has moved to a bigger space with air-conditioned now. They also cater outdoor dining space with seascape view as well. It has been years since I last visit Sungai Rengit. I also noticed that there are so many seafood restaurants to choose from now.

We were here around 1 plus and we noticed that they even have Muslim customers too. So, the restaurant serves no pork, no lard and it is muslim-friendly. [SG EATS] The Coconut Club At Ann Siang Road– Famous For Its Nasi Lemak

When it comes to Nasi Lemak recommendation in Singapore, The Coconut Club is one of the top recommendations. The restaurant earned its reputation when they received an additional stamp of approval from PM Lee Hsien Loong when he chose to host Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte in late 2016. They are also known as Michelin Bib Gourmand choice in 2018. Although everyone is raving about it, this is my first time visiting. We wanted to go to next door new opening but it was long queue. Chew Seafood Garden Restaurant, formerly known as Matang Seafood View located opposite KSL Mall in Johor Bahru offers fresh seafood porridge and other seafood dishes with affordable pricing. The owner, Chew is one of the brother of Matang Seafood View renamed the restaurant to Chew Seafood Garden Restaurant now. He gets his seafood supplies from Kuala Sepetang, and it is family business. They will arrange the fresh wild caught seafood from Perak to Johor Bahru every Friday evening. [JB EATS] Restoran Ming Xuan –Hakka Lei Cha ( Thunder Tea Rice) in Kulai | Johor

Restoran Ming Xuan located at Kulai, Johor is known by the locals as one of the best selling Hakka Lei Cha in town. Leii Cha is also known as Thunder Tea Rice or “Lui Cha” (河婆客家擂茶). This dish is a traditional Hakka Food. It is a bowl contains of rice, fresh vegetables, tofu and nuts along with a flavourful green soup.
