Swissotel Merchant Court Singapore has finally completed their refurbishment of all 476 rooms and suites with coloured themes and added meeting rooms and even new in-house spa brand called Purovel Spa & Sport. Their dining restaurants have also transformed and I had gone to the recent one, Ellenborough Market Café. Weekend just got better with more buffet varieties around Singapore lately. Cocobolo Poolside Bar & Grill, alfresco restaurant located at Park Hotel Clarke Quay is one in the weekend buffet list. Starting from 30 September, the restaurant will revamped its weekend barbecue buffet menu with upsized variety of premium meats and seafood items along with an expanded selection of appetisers and hot mains. Pool Grill at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has recently launched “All About White Asparagus” menu for this spring season. So, what is the difference between the white asaparagus and the green asparagus? White asparagus comes from the process of etiolation, which is the deprivation of light. The plant cannot produce chlorophyll without light and thus there is no green colour to the stalks. With this mellow flavour asparagus, Matthew Van De Zwan, Executive Chef of Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel has created the tantalizing ala- carte to tantalise the palates of diners.
