Aburiya & The Container Bar is a newly-opened restaurant and bar located at Boat Quay. The Container offers tapas and alcoholic drinks while Aburiya offers Japanese casual dining experience. So, why is it called The Container? The name comes from the shipping container Izakayas that Wagyu farmers in Hokkaido gathered regularly to chit chat over small Wagyu dishes and alcohol. Tamoya Udon located at Liang Court Mall offers different types of udon dishes. The brand has 31 outlets across Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore. This is my first time visiting the outlet even though I passed by whenever I am at Liang Court. Tamoya Udon was first established in 1996 by Chef Tamotsu Kurokawa, who was crowned the sanuki udon champion when he entered TV Champion, a reality cooking show in Japan. Are you a fan of tendon? Don Meijin located within Ramen Champion at Bugis+ is the latest addition to the tendon family. The stall offers the similar tendon just like Tendon Kohaku, Ginza Tendon Itsuki and Tensho Japanese Speciality Tendon House by MOF. Saboten has expanded to third outlet located at 100AM mall which is a walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. I remember my first visit was during their opening at Millenia Walk sometime back. Sometime back I visited Shukuu Izakaya located along Stanley Street on one of the weekend. The street was very quiet on weekend because it is right in the CBD area. Eat At Seven located at Suntec City has finally launched their newest concept, Tonkatsu Agedoki.”Age” means fried and “Doki” means time. The outlet specialized tonkatsu and takes pride itself on preparing pork cutlets that are fried to perfection. The shop is just next to Tempura Kohaku that I queued for an hour plus the other day.
