This Hotpot Restaurant is the first ala carte hotpot restaurant in Singapore to offer both Blazing Magma Soup (Japanese spicy white miso soup) and Spicy Mala Soup under one roof.The restaurant is inspired by the spices from Sichuan and Chongqing. The outlet accommodates 288 seats and is located at Level 3. What makes the outlet special other than the pink series is that it offers 6 soup bases instead of the usual 2 or 4 soup bases. Fu Lin Men (which symbolises fortune bestowed upon one’s home) Dou Lao located at North Canal Road is founded by orthopaedic specialist and senior researcher, Professor Zhang Min from the costal province of Zhe Jiang. Fu Lin Men Dou Lao Restaurant was started in April 2015 by Professor Zhang and former banker, Simon Lim. I was invited to tasting with fellow foodie bloggers last Sunday for dinner session.
