[SG EATS] WASHOKU GOEN| VIVO CITY, SINGAPORE

I was invited to Udon Goen located at Wisma Atria by Eric a while ago and fascinated with the value money Japanese Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. If you want to give a try, it is located at Food Republic Level 1.
This time round, I am at their second stall located at Food Republic, Vivo City with the other concept, Washoku GOEN. In Washoku GOEN, they offers sumibiyaki aka charcoal grill instead. Donburi and Japanese BBQ foods are served as well. The meats for the Japanese BBQ are marinated overnight before putting it on grill upon order request. Thus, you can definitely taste the pipping hot, juicy and tender meat when it is served.

Most importantly, the price is affordable and value for money. I can see the customers’ flow are on-going especially during dinner time. However,do take note that it is located at food court so it is self-service basis.
I ordered Kaisen Donburi S$10.80 which is limited to 10 serving per day stated in the menu. In view of the pricing, the portion served was generous. However, you will not find thick salmon sashimi on top of the rice though. Nevertheless, the overall taste was still delicious.

I also had Sumibi Pork Juu S$7.80 under Japanese BBQ Menu. Additional S$1.00 required for add on fried egg and soup. I would recommend to try their Japanese BBQ dishes. It is definitely worth the value. The chef did a good job on the marinated and grilled pork meats. It was succulent and juicy texture worthy. The thin sliced porks are well-seasoned and delish to go with the plain rice. The portion of course is value for money. I can even share this with a friend.
