Its spring time and we have Sakura in blooms at Gardens By The Bay, Singapore this year. I no need to pay expensive flights to go Japan to witness the sakura. Gardens by the Bay’s latest floral display. “Blossom Beats” is happening till 27 March 2016. I was there on Sunday evening and there were a huge crowd queuing to purchase tickets. The queue was estimate at least 45 minutes just to purchase the tickets.

Blossom Beats is an experimental floral display by the team at Gardens by the Bay to bring in flowers not commonly seen in Singapore. There are quite a variety of cherry and peach blossoms. You can expect to see more than 20 varieties of cherry blossoms in this floral display. But I guess I didn’t cover all because it was way too crowded inside the flower dome. People are trying to get the best angle to take pictures together with the sakura and some even queue to get the best spot of it. I only managed to snap pictures of the beautiful flowers instead of me into the picture.

There is a spectacular torii gate inside the Flower Dome. It is to greet visitors at the entrance of a Shinto Shrine in Japan. It also symbolically marks the transition from the profane to the sacred. There are other elements such as Japanese screens to style the whole place giving the visitors a feel of Japan. So much efforts in the styling of a Japanese garden display.
