[SG EATS] TONKATSU AGEDOKI- ANOTHER EAT AT SEVEN CONCEPT OUTLET @ SUNTEC CITY

Eat At Seven located at Suntec City has finally launched their newest concept, Tonkatsu Agedoki.”Age” means fried and “Doki” means time. The outlet specialized tonkatsu and takes pride itself on preparing pork cutlets that are fried to perfection. The shop is just next to Tempura Kohaku that I queued for an hour plus the other day.

The outlet offers tonkatsu in a set meal where it comes with side dishes and sauces and also the free-flow cabbage and rice. Speaking of the free-flow cabbage, it is best to enjoy it with goma sauce and house-made yuzu sauce. Trust me, it can be quite addictive.

The sides include braised mushroom and pickled vegetables to go with a bowl of plain rice. We tried 3 different types of tonkatsu that night. 200gm Pork Loin Cutlet Set Meat S$21.50++ , Pork Filet Cutlet set S$26.00++ and signature Cutlet of Wrapped Prawn with Pork Set Meal S$35.00++ . Each slice of the pork cutlet was thick and fully coated with panko. My favourite among these 3 sets was the pork fillet. Tender and juicy this is just nice for my liking. However, if they can work on the tenderness of the meat, it is definitely an added point to the tonkatsu meal.

The signature Cutlet wrapped prawn with pork was indeed the highlight photogenic dish. As much as we love the combination, I would prefer to enjoy them separately. The prawn taste was not subtle as the meat taste overpowers it. Nevertheless, this set is definitely a filling one for guys.

And not to miss out the miso soup and also the iced green tea which is the same drink from Tempura Kohaku. The miso soup was flavourful and i wish i can have second bowl.
