[M’SIA TRAVELS] 3D2N Weekend Trip to Langkawi, Malaysia with AirAsia

[M’SIA TRAVELS] 3D2N Weekend Trip to Langkawi, Malaysia with AirAsia

Thanks to AirAsia for sending me to Langkawi to experience Holiday Quickies over the weekend. Langkawi, Malaysia is known for the natural landscapes and island paradise by the locals and also tourists from overseas. The best part is that alcohol is not taxed on the island so that explains why drinking can be cheap there.

Ombak Villa Langkawi-2
There are many resorts in Langkawi for you to choose depending on your preferences and budget. We stayed in Ombak Villa Langkawi , which is approximately 5 minutes drive away from Langkawi Airport. The reason why we stayed near this area is because most of our outdoor activities are within this area.

One of the island’s main attractions is the Sky Bridge. It is a 410ft-long curved pedestrian bridge above Mount Mat Cinchang. The views are pretty amazing and easily accessible via Langkawi Cable Car.
You can pre-purchase the tickets here. I would suggest you to purchase first as the queue to purchase tickets on weekend can be quite long.

Island Hopping Tour
Island Hopping-Hazeldiary
Never leave Langkawi without island hopping tour as this is one of the most popular activities. The tour usually starts in the morning and end by noon. The island hopping tour includes Pulau Dayang Bunting (Lake of Pregnant Woman), Pulau Singa Besar ( Eagle Feeding ) and Pulau Beras Basah (Island of wet rice). Each places has its own story and beautiful sights to explore.
Jet-Skii-Hazeldiary
You can opt to go via speedboat or jetskii. We did the island hopping tour via jetski and it was a wonderful experience. The jet-ski island hopping is quite fun and challenging too. We booked it through Mega Water Sports.
Nevertheless, you can pre-purchase your island-hopping tour here or explore the packages when you are there.

Visit the huge Eagle Statue at Eagle Square for sunset. It is the symbol of Langkawi not to be missed! The square is called Dataran Lang and located in Kuah. There are F&B restaurants nearby if you are planning for dinner after the sunset.
