Yes! The famous Man Man Unagi and Tendon Kohaku are opening a brand-new collaborative dining concept at Clark Quat Central end of July 2019. Both brands are known with crazy queues for their specialities. This new space located at the basement of the mall can seat up to 80 diners.
In case some of you are wondering, what is the hype about? Man Man Unagi is known for its signature grilled unagi and Tendon Kohaku is known for their tempura donburi, which uses Hokkaido white rice.
What To Expect from this brand new collaboration?
Tendon Kohaku will offer an exclusive item- Kaisen Tendon by Kohaku and Teppei. Diners can enjoy the kaisen don recipe by Chef Teppei Yamashita.
Premium Chawanmushi with Unagi and Ikura S$6.50++
The chawanmushi is made with egg, chicken broth, chicken, shiitake mushroom and spring onion.
Unagi Dragon Roll S$9.00++
A combination of tempura prawn, tempura crabstick and avocado wrapped with Japanese rice.
Next, we have the Kaisen x Hitsumabushi by Teppei and Man Man S$32.50++ .
The combination of Man Man Unagi’s signature donburi and Teppei’s popular kaisen don , which comes with miso soup and appertizer in a set. There are three ways to enjoy hitsumabushi and I shared before in this post. Firstly, enjoy its own then mix of condiments, wasabi and green onions and with soup. This is my favourite dish of all. I will be back for this but maybe few months after the opening for sure.
