Kick-start with Abundance Treasures Yu Sheng featuring a combination of its Signature La Zi Ji (“Chong Qing” Diced Chicken with Dried Chilli), abalone and smoked salmon to welcome the Year of the Rabbit. This is outlet exclusive yusheng that comprises the signature La Zi Ji for a hot and numbing sensation. We thought it will be spicy but after a good tossing, the mala is subtle in taste along with other sweet and savory ingredients from the yusheng.

Exclusive to the outlet at PARKROYAL on Beach Road is the king garoupa with fresh Sichuan peppercorn dish. A whole Indonesian king grouper is steamed with spring onions to draw out its natural sweetness and then fragranced with Sichuan peppercorn for a punchy heat and distinctive numbing spice. The spring onion sauce balances out flavours and spice. This dish is the crowd pleaser of the night.

Braised lobster with fish paste noodles in superior stock is also an outlet-exclusive item. The silky and springy handmade ‘noodles’ are wholly created from fish paste while the braised lobster is full of meat and the meat was firm.
Pan-fried Auspicious Nian Gao | Bunny-shaped Milk Pudding
Lastly, we tried the pan-fried auspicious nian gao and the cute bunny-shaped milk pudding for dessert.
