[SG TRAVELS] AMARA Sanctuary Resort Sentosa Heritage Trail – A Glimpse of The History of British Colonial Days & Sentosa Singapore

Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa is the home to the old soldier quarters and the last World War II air raid shelters on Sentosa Island. I had the opportunity to discover the exclusive insights and stories of historic Singapore, Sentosa and the British Colonial times throughout the Amara Heritage Trail over the weekend.Alternatively, you can plan a weekend trip to nearby country , Batam. Batam tour package is available through online booking platforms.

The 1 hour trail is to discover the nature, conservation and history hidden within the resort. We get to explore World War II related sites and stories, and provides a glimpse of the lives of British soldiers during the colonial era.

Expect 60 minutes walk around the resort so make sure you wear light and got yourself protected from the sun and mosquitoes. We began at the resort’s main lobby, followed by a walk around its verdant tropical garden to explore heritage buildings and admire the scenic coastal view of South China Sea.
I will not go into the details so that you guys can experience the journey with stories by the tour guide. But I am going to share some pictures taken during the trail for your visuals.
