[SG BEAUTY] My Rotan Manau Herbal Tungku Massage Experience at The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur
During my recent stay at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, I made the delightful choice to indulge in a spa session at the hotel’s esteemed Spa. The hotel is nestled right next to the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC shopping mall. The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur promises an all-encompassing sensory journey, offering a diverse range of relaxation therapies meticulously tailored to cater to individual needs and preferences.
Whether you are seeking a soothing massage, a rejuvenating facial, or an invigorating body scrub, this spa has something to offer for everyone. It’s a transformative wellness journey, commencing with heavenly massages and holistic facials, extending all the way to precision hairstyling and glamorous nail art. The spa is awarded as Malaysia’s Best Hotel Spa 2019 and 2020 by World Spa Awards.
Situated on the same floor as the hotel’s gym and swimming facilities, the spa environment exudes beauty and opulence. From the moment my friend and I entered the spa, we were greeted with a warm and gracious welcome by the attentive staff, who provided exceptional customer service. Their warm smiles instantly made us feel comfortable and at ease. We were promptly provided with refreshing towels and a set of questionnaire forms, which allowed the therapists attending us to better understand our specific concerns before our session commenced.
After this initial welcome, we were led to our respective individual rooms to commence our spa experience. I decided to opt for the 60-minute signature treatment, known as the Rotan Manau Herbal Tungku Massage. This distinctive treatment combines the skilled manual manipulation of the therapists’ hands with a specialized tool crafted from locally sourced rattan wood poles. These rattan wood poles play a crucial role in loosening muscular knots, and they are complemented by a herbal tungku, a warm compress designed to ease tension.
This specialized massage treatment harnesses the therapeutic benefits of deep-tissue massage, effectively unblocking energy meridians, enhancing circulation, and toning the skin. The massage oil used in this treatment is the Kuem Royal Heritage Massage Oil, which features the essence of ginger and other Malaysian herbs. It’s worth noting that Kuem Royal Heritage Oil is an exclusive and century-old product line available solely at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur.
The entire 60-minute session was an absolute delight. My masseuse, Aishah, displayed exceptional skill, attentiveness, and a commitment to ensuring that each treatment was personalized and delivered with the utmost care. She also explained the whole treatment process and the benefits of the massage during the process. I left the spa feeling remarkably refreshed and rejuvenated, with a newfound sense of vitality.
Following our session, we were served a fragrant cup of hot ginger tea in the spa’s lounge. The soothing aroma of the tea complemented the overall relaxing experience, making it the perfect conclusion to our spa journey.
I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur to anyone staying at the hotel or visiting the city. It genuinely stands out as one of the best spa experiences I have ever had. Even though I typically do not frequent spas in Malaysia, choosing this spa session proved to be one of the best choices I made for this trip to Kuala Lumpur.
