[SG BEAUTY] My First Eyebrow Embroidery With Leekaja Beauty Salon | Mandarin Gallery
I finally get my eyebrow embroidery done. All thanks to Ina, Eyebrow Specialist from Leekaja Beauty Salon at Mandarin Gallery. It is my first time doing eyebrow embroidery and I am glad that I entrusted to the talented Korean Semi Permanent Make up Senior Stylist, Ina.
So, what is Eyebrow Embroidery?
Eyebrow Embroidery is known as eyebrow hairline stroke and it is semi-permanent which can last up to two years. There are many different types of eyebrow embroidery in the market now. This includes 2D, 3D,4D,6D and more with different price range. Eyebrow embroidery will fades more naturally over time as compared to eyebrow tattoos.
I also included the commonly asked FAQs about the Eyebrow Embroidery. This is also stated in Leekaja website.
What is the difference between the tools for the eyebrow service?
Needle Pen- With minimized noise, it helps to make you feel calm and stable.
Machine- As the technique is very light, it will recover quicker.
Is the process painful?
Topical anaesthetic will be applied to numb the area before the colour service. The intensity of the pain is dependent on the individual’s threshold for/of pain. Most of their customers compare the pain experienced to that of an ant’s bite while others find the process entirely painless.
Will there be any swelling?
There will be minimal swelling in the initial stage but the swelling normally subsides within 1-2 hours for eyebrow service and 24 hours for eyeliner service.
How long does the eyebrow service take?
Our service takes approximately 90mins to complete.
Re-touch service included?
We provide 1 free touch-up for the 1~3 months after the first session but there will be charges for additional touch-ups after the months.
My Review:
I did my eyebrow embroidery in the month of August with Leekaja Mandarin Gallery. I made an appointment beforehand. I was served with a choice of fresh juice and snacks before heading to the room to start the treatment process.
So, Ina showed me some of her previous works on eyebrow embroidery and explained which type of eyebrow shape that suits me. After discussing, Ina starts to shape my eyebrow first to show me before she gets the actual shape onto my eyebrow.
Then, she starts to apply numbing cream onto my eyebrow before she starts working on my eyebrow. We waited for 10 minutes for the cream to take effect. The whole process took approximately 90 minutes.
Here’s the look once it is done. The colour of the eyebrow is very dark before they start to fade. Surprisingly it is not very reddish and swollen at all. My colleagues and friends do not realize that I did my eyebrow embroidery at all. They thought I draw eyebrow instead of doing eyebrow embroidery.
Here’s another look after few days of the embroidery. The eyebrow colours are light after the second week and it looks very natural.
I headed back to Leekaja Beauty Salon after a month to do re-touch service. For this time round Ina puts on darker brown shade so that the colour of my eyebrow will be darker than the current one. The whole process is the same as the first treatment if you are wondering.

Here is another shot taken after the re-touch.
Another thing to take note is that during this one week after the embroidery, my brows are not allowed to come into contact with water. Thus, I need to be careful when cleansing my face to avoid wetting my brows. Ina also gave me a note on how to protect my brows after the treatment so that I can follow accordingly.

Love the fine strokes that Ina did. It’s natural and she did a good job. She uses the tiny needles instead of the knife blade so that it can make small incisions in the skin with the tool’s tip depending on the thickness and depth of hair stroked they want to etch. It also minimizes the damage on the skin layer as well.

Ina also perfected my brows and the shape helps to create prominent feature to my face. I have drooping eyelids so with this new shape, my eyes look lifted. And the best part is that I can no longer worry about perfecting my brows every morning.
