Rediscover Singapore is the current trend since we are unable to travel due to Covid-19. We have been exploring more places in Singapore and discover this hidden gem in Singapore. It is underrated spot where it is a rare chance to encounter a lighthouse in a city like Singapore.


As you all know, lighthouse is usually aren’t accessible to the public but you can do so here at Raffles Marina. The best part is that it is FREE for public. You can head straight to the pier that overlook the Johor Straits Lighthouse. You can see the second-link bridge or we called it Tuas Second Link Bridge too.




HOW TO GET THERE
Public Transport:
By MRT
Take train to Tuas MRT Station and take a 6 minutes walk to Raffles Marina.

By Car
It is accessible by two main expressways- PIE & AYE.

It is wonderful to take a nice leisure stroll along the pier and enjoying the sea breeze and the gorgeous sunset view. You can spot people fishing there too. It is a beautiful spot for instagram and photo-taking for keepsake memories.

Also, spot the yachts parked at Raffles Marina Club as well. This reminds me of Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf, Taipei, Taiwan. Don’t you think so?

Do not leave without a photo with the Raffles Marina’s own lighthouse. Built in 1994 and 12 metres high icon flashes every 10 seconds with a beam that reaches 15 metres. The lighthouse is maintained by the Club and is the only lighthouse not owned and operated by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore.


It is not everyday that you can encounter sunset view and a lighthouse in city place. Do check the weather and sunset timing before heading over to avoid disappointment.
