Given my current lifestyle, I always find it hard to find time for acne treatments despite suffering from adult acne. Since I always visit Dr Gerard Ee at The Clifford Clinic for my monthly pigmentation removal treatment via Pico laser, I have decided to do something about my acne prone skin.

AGNES Acne and Gold PTT are the most common acne treatments that are used to treat chronic acne. However, my condition is not that serious so Dr Ee suggested a combination of acne treatments to treat my acne skin. After a detailed consultation, I was introduced to Q Switch laser, Bellasonic and HydraFacial.

What is Hydrafacial Treatment and Benefits?
Hydrafacial is a medical-grade treatment and the only hydradermabrasian procedure that cleanses, detoxifies, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates all at once to achieve better acne control for all skin types and complexions. Doing Hydrafacial once a month clears up the skin and prevent clogged pores.

The treatment helps in:

My Review
Hydrafacial felt so different from the facials that I had in the past. There was no manual extraction for blackheads removal so there is no obvious red marks after the procedure. However, the beauty therapist did share that it will take more than one treatment to remove all the black heads. So, it is advisable to go for more sessions to achieve the best result.

Also, it is a hydrating water-based solution, the treatment provides an adequate amount of plumping hydration to our skin when you compare it to a traditional microdermabrasion treatment. I also enjoyed the relaxing facial and shoulder massage with the custom hydrating mask to give skin even deeper hydration. The best part is that it only took 60 minutes of my time. I can’t stand facials that take up to 2 hours!

What is Bellasonic Treatment and Benefits?
Bellasonic helps to reduce acne, and boost natural regenerative processes for my acne skin. It also helps to shrink and close pores. The good thing about Bellasonic is that it also has anti-aging effects such as increase skin elasticity and providing deep hydration.

How does Bellasonic works?
A layer of hydrating gel and a customized solution will be applied on my face and delivered into the skin using Bellasonic. The solution was customized by Dr. Gerard Ee according to my skin condition and concerns.

My Review
The treatment is quick, painless and relaxing. After the Bellasonic treatment, my skin appears more lifted, and my tired eyes area rejuvenated immediately. Friends also commented that my complexion became bright and radiant as well. I also love how soft and smooth my skin is. I enjoyed the fuss-free facial as 20 minutes was all it takes. There was no downtime, and the skin has an immediate result.

After alternating between Hydrafacial and Bellasonic, Dr Ee will do a quick q-switch laser on my skin.

What is Q-switch Laser?
Q-switch laser treats several skin concerns including pigmentation issues and aging skin. The laser treatment is used to treat freckles, sunspots, acne scars and hyperpigmentation. What people rarely know is that Q Switch laser also get rid of acne spot and acne scar removal, it is a cost-effective option to minimize pores and remove blackheads.

My Review
With no downtime after the treatment, I can resume to my activities right after the session. The laser treatment also has an additional effect on killing off P.acnes bacteria, which means it tackles the active acne and helps on acne issues. This is very much needed especially we are always mask-on. I think Q-switch laser is effective in preventing maskne or preventing acne from turning into chronic acne condition.

This helps on my acne control. My skin of course looks brighter and clearer after all the procedures for about 3 to 4 weeks.
