[SG HOTEL REVIEW]STAYCATION WITH HOTEL JEN TANGLIN | SINGAPORE
I was invited for Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore’s Jen’s Doodle Party sometime back August this year. Illustrators from the Band of Doodlers drew live portraits on the hoarding with a speech bubble to encourage guests’ participation through penning their thoughts, or adding on to the art piece. And now, Hotel Jen Tanglin (formerly known as Traders hotel) has finally done with the refurbished of their hotel rooms.
Thanks to Hotel Jen Tanglin and NuffnangSG, I was there for a staycation over the weekend last month (November). The newly refurbished room that features fresh, stylish, modern design.
HOTEL ROOM
My favourite part of the room is the comfy king-sized bed and I can literally roll few times on it.
There is also a bay window sofa with a view. This is the best part for some nice photography moments.
If only I can spend more time in the hotel room, I would definitely stay in and do private readings or just do nothing in the room. The lightings in the room made me feel cosy and comfortable as the night falls. The interior design is like a boutique theme with nice touches of little detailing and more inviting.
Also, the amenities are well-organized.Bathroom was simple and hotel standard design. There is no bathtub and there are rainshower head instead. Towels are nicely folded and placed in the bathroom as well.
Do check your fridge when you check-in with Hotel Jen as they will give surprises to hotel guests. There were fresh fruits and chocolate complimentary by the hotel.
SURROUNDINGS
The swimming pool in Hotel Jen is located just next to Ah Hoi’s Kitchen. The swimming pool location is directly facing the sunlight throughout the day. If you are concern feeling cold in the pool, fret not. The pool is able absorbs the heat from the sun so it’s not that cold afterall.
There are floats available for hotel guests to utilize it.
Taking nice pool shots with the big swan float in the middle of the pool is no longer a difficult task anymore.
Gym is available as well but I didn’t get a snap photo of it. It is also facing the swimming pool. Not forgetting spa is available as the hotel facilities.
FOODS
BREAKFAST
I had my breakfast at Club Lounge of the hotel located at level 17. It was great to have breakfast with a view and the sun ray that shines through the glass panel. It was such a blessed weekend morning. The newly refurbished Club Lounge has the modern chic design with classy elements in it. The refreshments are available all day but for breakfast, it is from 6.30am to 11.00am.
LUNCH
I also dine in at Ah Hoi’s Kitchen during the Nuffnang Blog Conference. I was spoilt with choices from the menu of 12 at 12 Singapore Local Delights from Ah Hoi’s Kitchen.
In summary, it was a pleasant stay and fruitful weekend. There is also complimentary shuttle service that stops at the hotel entrance an hourly basis to take guests to key places in Orchard Road. There are quite a number of activities can be done within the hotel. The staffs are friendly and approachable as well. It was a pleasant stay with Hotel Jen Tanglin.
[Thanks to Hotel Jen hospitality and NuffnangSG for organizing the event.]
