Since I am starting to do my travel packing list for my upcoming list, I decided to blog about the essential things to pack when travelling to share. Not sure about you guys but I think it is good to list down the essential things to bring along while travelling so that you won’t miss out. The worst case is to purchase it but it will be best to spend the money on travel expenses. Don’t you think so?

Before I move on, things such as passport, money, flight tickets and universal plugs are must-have which will not be included in the essential list. Obviously these are the things that you can’t do without them. Anyway, here come the essential lists that I would suggest to make your travel more enjoyable.




1. Travel Pen
Although you can conveniently request from the cabin crew or at the immigration counters, it does come handy when you need to fill your landing card during the flights. You can get it down in advance during the flight instead of trying to get it done while queuing at the immigration hall. Or perhaps watching the rest queuing to clear the immigration and you are still scrambling over it at the immigration desk.

2. Travel pouch
I personally feel that travel pouch is important and I usually set aside a set of toiletries for travel. So, I will not use my daily toiletries to pack together. Look out for the travel kit that has a hook in it which is handy when you stay in accommodations where space is limited.

3. Water Bottle
It is important to stay hydrated always even when you are travelling. You wouldn’t want to fall sick during and after the trip, don’t you? So, it is always advisable to drink plenty of water especially in-flight. Thus, prepare an empty water bottle to fill them with fluids to stay hydrated especially when you inside the aircraft. You will naturally feel little thirsty and dry. Or even when you are travelling under the hot sun, this comes extremely handy.

4. Money / Coin pouch
Do you have a habit to separate your paper money and coins? I do actually for my convenience. And I have a habit to have separate pouch to allocate my money as well. Since travelling requires different money currencies, I will separate it to avoid confusion. It is also easier if you separate the coin pouch so that it is easier to make payment if you are purchasing little buys. There is no need to bring out your bulky purse or pouch with stash of money especially if you prefer to travel with cash instead of credit card.




5. Lubricants
Ladies especially need to make sure their skin is protected from the hot sun and stay moisture. So, sunblock and hand cream lotions are important. Not only for the protection from the sun but also from the dry air in aircrafts and cold temperatures. Prepare a pocket-size cream to place in your hand bag so you can use it any time any where.

6. Camera
Being a blogger and active social media person, camera is an essential to capture my travel moments. Some prefer to use iphone or phone cameras but I personally prefer it in better pixels and quality. I will make sure I have spare battery and SD card to capture the moments throughout the travel journey.

7. Power Bank
Social media is also part of my life and I do make it a habit to post on and off. So, I need to make sure that my phone and gadgets will not run out of juice. It will be a nightmare for me. Thus, always make sure I have spare batteries and power bank to juice up my gadgets on-the go.

8. Medical Kit
Prepare your own medical kit and keep it small to get through the uncertainties. Although we can find pharmacies aboard, it is always better to have back up plans. Sometimes when things happen and you just couldn’t find the pharmacies or clinic, this will just come handy.So before you head off, take a couple of treatments to prepare for the worst.

9.Packable Rain Jacket
Make sure you bring a packable rain jacket for unforeseen weather. This is essential for travellers who are going for hiking or even sight-seeing. Be sure to get the travel-ready and breathable rain jacket to fit into your luggage.
