[HK EATS] SISTER WAH 華姐清湯腩 | HONG KONG
Foodie weekend trip to HK with E started off with the first stop at Sister Wah華姐清湯腩. Sister Wah is known as one of the popular beef brisket noodles in Hong Kong.It is located conveniently within a walking distance from Tin Hau MTR station when you exit at A2.We were supposed to try their well-known beef brisket noodle but end up with dry collagen-packed tendon beef noodles HKD52 instead. We was not ready yet but the waiter came and ask for our order. Feeling a bit stress over the ordering pattern here, E ordered dry noodles in Cantonese. So, we thought it is the common plate of beef brisket noodles.
When it was served, we looked at each other feeling shocked. Although feeling disappointment, this plate of gelatonious slices was surprisingly good. As for the noodles, it is the typical Hong Kong style egg noodles. The noodles are chewy and hard compared to our local noodles here in Singapore & Malaysia.
We also ordered beef shank HKD80 as ala-carte. Each slice was nicely cute with tender texture to chew. It is best to share with at least 2-3 pax if you are having a plate of noodles by your own. It can be quite filling too.
Although we missed the beef brisket noodles, we are contented with the plate of goodness. It was generous portion full of collagen. We left the shop with a smile on our face. Sometimes a wrong order do turned out a blessing in disguise too.
Note: Do expect to share the table with strangers whenever you are in Hong Kong. It happens most of the time except dining at a fine restaurants or cafes.
