Manicure and pedicure are becoming an essential therapy for ladies. I was introduced to 3D Nails recently for 1 time sponsored manicure session. Located within a walking distance from Jurong East MRT station, 3D Nails is owned by Janet who have been in this industry for years before she decided to have her own nail shop. If you step into the shop, there are only 3 seats available. Thus, it would be advisable to schedule an appointment before you go down.
So, I had my second manicure done by Janet. My first manicure was with my friend’s shop in Kuala Lumpur. I am quite excited to have pretty nails again. Before we started, Janet will grab the metal tools used for manicure and pedicure from the UV (ultraviolet) sterilizer. The UV sterilizer provides the disinfection functions to ensure the hygiene of each customer.
I decided to let Janet to decide on the designs on my hand as I lay back and rest comfortably on the sofa seat and eyes on TV. So, we had a mini discussion on the design, Janet started off to shape my nails and protect my nails with a coat of nail treatment before proceeding with the gel service.
There are premium base coat, top coat and a nail primer from Orly GelFX which serves as a treatment to your nail. The product is a vitamin-infused gel manicure system. It was my first time hearing this and quite surprised to have nail treatment available in the market. So, if you pamper yourself with manicure and pedicure, I would suggest you to add on this into your services to protect your nails. The addition treatment will be S$12.00. The Primer enhances the life of the gel colour and basecoat is to create smooth surface on your nails.
I spent approximately an hour and 30 minutes here in 3D Nails. And here’s my result! I am pretty happy with the design. It was a pleasant experience with Janet as she will share her knowledge with customers so that customers can understand and know what is applied on the nails instead of just wanting to be pretty only.
