FEATURES

Beautification ModeASUS ZENFONE SELFIE-1 1-ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE ASUS ZENFONE-Wefie-1 ASUS ZENFONE SELFIE-Wefie

The phone uses beautification mode and selfies and wefies that I took was awesome. My skins became flawless and dark eye circles are automatically faded and it is still me with better skin and radiance look in the photo. The phone smartly auto detect the face and did an amazing job on the beautifying mode. Definitely hassle free to do editing and using filter app after photo taking.

Also, the camera function is user-friendly with preset modes. The All Smiles mode did wonders as it will select the best facial expression after taking 5 consecutives selfies.

Asus ZenUI

Other than the beautification mode for selfie, it also has the new and improved ASUS ZenUI. It knows what user need and helps to connect wherever you go. This improved feature enables users to manage the information all in one app instead of handling few apps at the same time.

On top of this, the ZenMotion is very cool. I do not need to unlock the phone and all I need to do is to draw a “C” on the locked screen to open the Camera function or even “S” for the access of the selfie taking front camera. Sound cool isn’t it?

Button Placements

Many smartphones power and volume control buttons are located on the sides of the phone. But for Zenfone Selfie, the power button is located at the top. The volume control buttons are located on its back and it is quite conveniently used as snapping selfies button with finger tips.

CONCLUSION

ASUS Zenfone Selfie is truly an option for those who are into selfies. It has the beautify mode and the front and rear camera has 13MP that provides a decent photo pixels to be uploaded. It is best to be shooting on natural lighting without disclosing pimples on your face.

During my 2 weeks with the phone, I find that running multiple apps would slow down the processing of the phone and it lagged once while I was trying to change to another app. Thus, I would advise not to open too many apps at one time otherwise, it is good to perform well.

Also,if only the phone size (5.5inches) would be slightly smaller to grab within my palm and fit into the pockets easily.

But I did have a pleasant experience exploring the phone. If you weigh the price with the features and specifications built-in the ASUS ZenFone Selfie, it is pretty good deal. The phone is available in pastel colours of baby pink, tiffany blue and pure white with 13MP for the front and rear camera.

ASUS ZenFone Selfie is available at all ASUS brand stores, ASUS authorized retailers and Q0010 at S$399.00 (without contract) from 26 September 2015.
