[TRAVEL GUIDE] HOW TO GO TO LEGOLAND FROM SINGAPORE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
While I am preparing Legoland Star Wars Event post, read this post on how to get to Legoland Nusajaya Johor Bahru,Malaysia from Singapore. Other than cafe hopping and shopping across the causeway, you can head to southern tip of Johor Bahru for theme park attraction. The theme park has interactive rides that family and friends can enjoy. Water theme park is available as well. Moreover, Legoland Malaysia is the first Legoland theme park in Asia.
Admission Tickets to Legoland
You can book your tickets from KLOOK for better deals.
The distance from Singapore Tuas Second Link is only 10-20 minutes and 15-30 minutes away from Johor Bahru City Centre. So, here are the options for you to travel with minimal cost without driving across the causeway.
SINGAPORE TO LEGOLAND BY BUS
From Jurong East MRT Station: Take BUS CW3 & CW4 from Jurong East Bus Interchange to CIQ 2nd Link (Tuas Checkpoint) .
From Boon Lay MRT Station: Take BUS CW6 from Boon Lay Bus Interchange to CIQ 2nd Link (Tuas Checkpoint)

Sample of the Bus Ticket
BUS FARE:
SGD4.00 – Singapore (CIQ 2nd Link) to MEDINI MALL
RM5.00 – MEDINI MALL to Singapore (CIQ 2nd Link)
Once you reach CIQ 2nd Link, take BUS CW7L to the entrance of Medini Mall. The mall is just next to Legoland Johor Bahru,Malaysia. The journey is approximately 20minutes time as the bus is driving through highway.
If you are travelling within the same day, do catch the last BUS CW7L by 9:00PM at the entrance of Medini Mall back to Singapore. There is a Causeway Link Bus counter just in front of the entrance of the mall where you can seek for enquires. The bus frequency is 20-30minutes time.
Do note to request for bus ticket as a proof for you to take BUS CW3/ CW4 when you arrive CIQ 2nd link because CW7TL only stop at JB checkpoint. Keep your ticket and show it to the bus conductor to board the CW buses to Jurong East Bus Interchange.
BUS from Woodlands Checkpoint -JB Sentral – Legoland Malaysia
Bus option:
Kranji MRT Station- BUS 170/ 160 or Causeway BUS CW1
Queen Street,Bugis -Take Causeway BUS CW2
Woodlands MRT- SBS BUS 950
Newton Circus- Causeway BUS CW5

Information from Causeway Link website
Once you reach JB Sentral, take Causeway Link Bus LM1 to Legoland. However, do note that the ravelling time will be longer as compared travelling from CIQ 2nd link. And make sure you check out their schedule beforehand in case you miss out the timing.
Note: You can pre-purchase the Travel Bus Pass for Johor Bahru and Singapore here.
SINGAPORE TO LEGOLAND BY TAXI
If you opt for taxi instead, please not that the taxi fare from JB Sentral to Legoland Johor Bahru,Malaysia is between range RM40-60. We took a cab over on Friday night and the taxis was limited. Thus, they do not charge by metre and go by a price. So, please note on the price range and do not get trick. I personally feel that RM60 was too much but since it was almost 11:00PM when we arrived JB Sentral, we left with no choice.
TIPS:
Do check the traffic conditions before deciding which route to take when you are crossing the causeway. You can check from http://www.trafficiti.com/ or http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en.html
More details available at Legoland website as well.
Happy exploring the theme park!

Hi Hazel,
Will be travelling with my daughter for her birthday. Was thinking of getting the wts but it needs ti book. What is your recommendation?
Hi Rowena
WTS Travel is the usual option people take to Legoland. It depends on your budget though.
If you have many things to bring along, i would suggest you go by WTS. Alternatively, public transport is just fine (cheaper cost). The interval timing is approximately 20-30 minutes from JB immigration to Legoland. But do take note on the last timing if you want to travel back Singapore from Tuas Checkpoint.
There are buses to JB town which you can take the route back from woodlands checkpoint. It is the same bus stop where you take to Tuas link as well.
Hope this helps.. Let me know if you need any help 🙂
Hi Hazel
Planning a trip to legoland from Singapore in the coming week with my daughter, just wanted to know what’s the approximate travel duration from jurong east bus interchange to CIq 2nd link? Does it take a lot of time to get your visa stamped at the entry point to johor( tuas check point)?would appreciate your input on this. I am in a dilemma wether to take the shuttles from the sg flyer or to take the public transport. Have heard that shuttles takes about 2 to 3 hrs . That would be a lot of travel time with my little one. Hence checking for faster options.
Hi Akshatha
The travel duration from Jurong East Bus Interchange to CIQ 2nd link approximately 20mins time if no traffic. As for the clearance, it depends on timing though. If you are travelling on friday night (after work timing), it will be very jam. Saturday early morning is just fine (say 7-9am). The advantage of public transport is that the frequency travel time is more. However, there is bus schedule from Medini to CIQ though.Do take note on that if you are travelling during day time.
Hope this helps
