Continue from my previous Hua Hin post, I am sharing about my visit to Plearnwan Hua Hin in Thailand which is the first eco-vintage village. It was built in late 2009 with the purpose to recapture the classic charm of old Hua Hin. You can read the history details from their website. We headed over after our visit to Santorini Park and the best part is that it’s FREE entrance.
You can also book a day tour to all these places from KKDAY.
Plearnwan is an open area built with wooden planks in between the modern building. You will spot a guy wearing an eye-catching mask to direct the cars that are coming in to Plearnwan. So, this place is basically an one stop place where visitors can explore from shopping, sight-seeing and eating. There are stores selling apparels, individual restaurants and food stalls, nostalgic items which will rekindle the good old times. The moment you step into the entrance of the place, you are basically in a ‘village’ with interconnected sky bridge in the center of the area.
As I explore the place, it feels like I am back to the 80’s times and those similar toys and candy dispensers are definitely brings back some precious memories. So, we spend our time exploring the place, taking photos for keepsake and this place is a hidden gem in Hua Hin. They have the nice spot for taking #ootd outfit of the day and instagram-worthy shot.
The food stalls here sell Thai street snacks which are commonly found in Bangkok as well. The crispy pancakes or Khanom bueng is one of them but in a bite size served with thick coconut milk cream and grated coconut with small shrimps as topping. Sweet and addictive!
It took us an hour plus to explore the place and photo-taking. It’s quite an idea to have this place as one of the attraction in Hua Hin.
And do remember to look out for this guy just outside Plearnwan!
