Funny Mountain is listed as the best Tau Fu Fah in Ipoh. Tau Fu Fah (in Cantonese) is also known as Soybean curd if you are wondering. The famous soybean stall is a family-run business and has been on-going for more than 60 years. The wacky name itself has attract attention in a fun way though.


The uniqueness of this stall is that they provide “Drive-Thru” service where you can literally enjoy your bowl of Tau Fu Fah in your car. So you can see locals park their car by the roadside to enjoy a bowl of soyabean curd on a hot sunny day.


No fancy soyabean curd here. Only the traditional silky smooth curds made from soyabean, soyabean milk, ais lengkong ( grass jelly drink) and mix soya bean milk and grass jelly. The traditional soyabean curd is served with a drizzle of sugar syrup with a faint hint of ginger is priced at RM3.00 ~S$1.00 per bowl. We tried few soyabean curd shops around Ipoh and this is the best comforting simplicity bowl of dessert we all agreed. It was smooth and literally melt-in-mouth.



You can also purchase the take-away containers drinks displayed at the stall to relish your thirst under the hot sun.

The stall opens daily from 10:30AM onwards and closes when everything is sold out. We were there around 3pm and they have already sold out. So, we planned our second visit back earlier to avoid any disappointment. Thus, it is best to come as early as possible people.
