I have been seeing celebrity doctor, Dr Gerard Ee from The Clifford Clinic (famous celebrity clinic in Singapore!) for more than a year. It is all thanks to him that all the pigmentations on my face were removed. You can read more about my pigmentation removal treatment – Pico Laser here. Recently, I did Ellanse Fillers Treatment with Dr Ee and here I am, documenting my experience on the blog.

HOW DOES ELLANSE COLLAGEN FILLERS TREATMENT WORKS?
Ellansé works by stimulating collagen production to restore the skin to a more youthful state – plumper and fuller skin. Unlike other fillers which work by directly filling in the wrinkles, Ellansé works differently by stimulating your own natural collagen to fix problems aging skin such as wrinkles. Unlike other dermal fillers, Ellansé treats the problems at source and therefore the effects are extremely natural-looking. The collagen that is stimulated from the treatment will stay over a period of a few years and produce natural, sustained effects.

CONSULTATION
I started my Ellanse filler treatment with a consultation session where I shared my concerns with Dr Ee. He then advised me on the areas to improve and what can I do to enhance the features of my face. I have previously done dermal fillers elsewhere but the results lasted for less than a year so Dr Ee introduced me to Ellanse Collagen Fillers Treatment for face shaping and contouring.

THE PROCESS
After we were done with the consultation, I removed all traces of makeup before the nurse applied the numbing cream on the designated parts of my face. It will take approximately 30 minutes for the numbing cream to take effect.

Once I am numb enough, Dr Ee mapped out the sunken cheek and chin area to fill before the injections. The Ellanse fillers are injected carefully and precisely into the skin. As the gel-carrier gets absorbed into the body, it is replaced by the newly-formed collagen to form a structure that retains the PCL (polycaprolactone) microspheres. I could feel the bearable pain at the lowest scale. As for the discomfort level, it is close to zero. All thanks to Dr Ee’s skilfulness. The whole process took less than 30minutes excluding the waiting time for the numbing cream to take effect. The best part is that there was completely no downtime and I continue back to work after my lunch time.RESULT
The results from Ellanse fillers are instant. I wanted a subtle difference, but the fillers definitely make my face look more youthful and symmetrical. The volume at my saggy cheeks and chin were restored. The face looks more V-shaped, and the whole face looks lifted immediately.

Some differences that I observed are:
– Laugh lines are more faint
– Fuller cheeks
– Sharper Chin
– Less tired looking

My chin looks less wrinkled and sharper too. If you notice, the lift on my cheeks are pretty obvious here too.
My chin is obviously sharper when you see it from the side.Depending on individual, I had mild bruising on my chin that lasted for almost a week. There is no pain so there was nothing to worry about.

HOW LONG DOES ELLANSE LAST?
Ellanse collagen stimulation start immediately and can last anywhere from 1 to 4 years. The period depends on the type of Ellansé fillers used. As compared to other dermal fillers, the long-lasting effect means that you do not have to come back for follow-up visits or multiple sessions. Not only is it an economical solution to reverse aging, but it saves a lot of time as well. It also works by your own collagen production and does not migrate.
