[SG EVENT] Kawaii Deco Sushi Workshop By Little Miss Bento
Workshops are best ways to pick up and learn new things. I was thankful to be invited for a deco sushi making workshop conducted by Shirley Wong aka Little Miss Bento sometime back in July 2015. The workshop was conducted at Candylicious, Vivo City where conveniently accessible via Harbourfront MRT station. It was a fun and interactive session as everyone had the opportunity to hands on to do their very own sushi. Shirley started off with the introduction of the basics of sushi art making and Kawaii Deco. Each of the table has been placed the necessary ingredients and props for the sushi making. Shirley demonstrated step by step on the making of the Sakura Flower sushi and followed by Bee sushi. She also guided us during our hands on making throughout the workshop to ensure everyone gets the shape correctly.
Everyone was excited with the trial and error and slowly turned the sushi into an edible piece with the shape right. I felt slight achievement getting my first ever kawaii deco sushi right. This shows that everyone can learn to make Kawaii Deco Sushi with the easy steps shown on her latest book collection.
All you need to have is your creativity, essential tools and ingredients to get the whole thing looks good and cute. And most importantly the book, Kawaii Deco Sushi that is retailing at S$32.00 before GST.
It is available at all major bookstores in Singapore including Kinokuniya Singapore, Popular, Times bookstore.
