Miyakori Coffee is the latest café addition by foot in Johor Bahru. Their first outlet was located at Bukit Indah with cute theme interior design and menu. Congrats on the second outlet expansion and it is located just inside City Square Shopping mall. It’s an ideal location to have crowds coming in from Singapore. Miyakori Coffee is located at level 5 of the mall with a nice clean white furbished design. There are only coffee, tea, pastries and cakes available in this outlet. If you been to the outlet at Bukit Indah, there serves mains there.
We were there around 11.30am and there were no customers at the café. We get walk all over the place to take nice photos of the drink and cake we ordered. Orders and payments are made at the counter. Followed by the staff will serve us our order.
Kuromitsu Coffee RM13.90
We were disappointed when it was served in a take-away cup even though we dine-in. We opened the cap of the cup and felt slightly better because of the cute bear latte art in it. Taste wise, to be frank, its average. I felt the milky taste was stronger.
Cotton Cheese Cake RM13.90
There was a display cakes showcase at the side of the counter. We opt for cotton cheese cake with their logo stamped in the middle. The cheesecake was light, fluffy and soft. I would recommend this to go with a cup of coffee or tea.
Ujikintoki (Uji Matcha) RM16.90
Their dessert signage was big enough to attract our attention. Thus, we decided to give it a try. The shaved ice was coarse and the ice sizes were irregular. It would be best if they can change it to fine shaved ice instead as their matcha/ green tea ice-cream, shiratama and red beans were decent.
Our total bill was RM44.70 with no GST and service charge. Before we left the café, we did feedback our inputs to the staffs and they received it positively. Will I visit them again? Yes to try their other pastries and chill with friends over free time.
