[SG EATS] DOODLES- The shake shake noodles at Tiong Bahru

I finally got the time to visit Doodles located at the basement of Tiong Bahru plaza over the weekend. Initially I thought Doodles has a space for customers to dine in but as I arrived, it is actually a noodle kiosk. However, the kiosk is very bright in white and instantly caught my attention.

Doodles reminds me of the Hong Kong cold noodles that I tried at Argyle Centre, Mongkok. Similar concept I would say but Doodles offers in sets and combination with options. There are 4 sets available and starving souls can top up each set with ingredients as ala carte style.

So, how does it work?
1. Choose the noodle base – Angel hair pasta, Soba or Fusilli
2. Choose toppings according to the meal set you chosen
3. Take your pick of dressing – savoury garlic sauce, creamy sesame sauce, tangy onion sauce or spicy chilli sauce. Top up S$1.00 for truffle sauce if you want.
4. Zip it and Shake it!

As simple as the 4 steps, you can unzip your bag and enjoy your noodles. I tried the Angel hair pasta and soba and my personal favourite is angel hair pasta. Doodle’s noodles are al dente and the ingredients are well-marinated and flavourful. As for the sauce, I enjoyed the creamy sesame sauce with aromatic roasted fragrance.

Since this is my first time, the service staff mix matches the ingredients for me and even recommended to add on chicken floss onto the noodles. I was quite sceptical about the combination but turned out to be pleasantly good. Be more adventurous and try it too when you order Doodles next round.

Doodles’ bag comes with a secured zip and able to store for 1 day in refrigerator condition. Thus, I kept a bag and bought it to lunch the next day. I also observed that some customers also purchased it as their lunch option the following day. It is a good idea and hassle free too! But one thing for sure is that the portion is not huge to make it a filling meal though. It would be best to have bigger size bag noodle option is future.
