I was back to DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru over the weekend. I brought E along and it was his first time to Johor Bahru after ten years. It was also his first time to DoubleTree by Hilton. We were there to check out Makan Kitchen latest promotion.You can read about my past dining experience from here and my staycation moments here.
Makan Kitchen presents Beijing’s Best Beef (and Chicken) LaMian or hand-pulled noodles and Dumplings made-to-order. The restaurant’s open Chinese Kitchen allows you to watch Hilton Beijing’s Chef Chen hand pulling the noodles, dropping them directly into boiling water and serving you on the spot.

And of course the usual spreads of local delights are available. They also included a section for Japanese sushi right next to the seafood spreads.

As for the dessert corner, they have included durian cake. It was quite well-received because it was gone when I went to grab a slice. Thankfully the staff placed a new one and I got my share. If you are here, make sure you grab a slice of durian cake to try.
