W Taipei is a 5-star luxury hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. The hotel is located in the Xinyi district and is also an iconic hotel in the city of Taipei. The best part is that it is easily accessible via Taipei City Hall Station. I visited the place during my Taiwan trip for their afternoon tea set at Yen Bar.In collaboration with Kate Spade, W Taipei Yen Bar has launched the Kate Spade theme afternoon tea set for this summer treat. This collaboration is happening from 1 May – 31 August 2017. Be sure you mark the date if you are planning for a trip to Taiwan soon.
The afternoon tea set is priced at TWD1,800.00 + 10% service charge per set ( 2 pax) . This includes 4 glasses of cocktails and free flow of tea and coffee.Apart from the beautiful afternoon tea set, W Taipei Yen Bar has amazing views of the city. You can enjoy your afternoon session with a fabulous view of Taipei 101. I got very excited when I saw this view. But bear in mind, not every spot can view Taipei 101 so it is best to make your reservation and request it from the staff beforehand.
Here’s our afternoon tea set with Kate Spade inspired desserts. It comes in a stack of bright pink boxes with each rack filled with the treats. The pastry chef did a good job creating the treats according to the theme. It is like an art-piece too pretty that I couldn’t bear to eat them. The collection comprises sweet and savoury treats, in which goes pretty well with the tea.

There are 3 types of teas available in the menu and cocktails are specially curate according to the theme as well.
I would definitely recommend this place for their afternoon tea set and Taipei 101 view. The ambience of the place is also a plus point as well. The whole place is classy, elegant and the staffs are trained well with services and product knowledge. If you are thinking to try something different when you are visiting Taipei, check out this place.
