[JB EATS][NEW] 3-in-1 Concept Homibing Ground- Where You Enjoy Bingsu , Korean Hotteok & Tea Speciality At One Go

Finally make my way to Homibing Ground, the new location of the previous Homibing Café that I visited last year. This latest building, Homibing Ground is located along the same area as Just Want Coffee, The Factory 30 at Taman Mount Austin. They have expanded their business to 3-in-1 concept, where you can enjoy bingsu, Korean hotteok and tea speciality at one go.Homibing Ground-Taman Mount Austin
How To Get Here (Homibing Ground)
It is located around the industrial area and inconvenient if you are not driving. The best way is by cab or GRAB if you are not driving.
The GRAB fare from Komtar JBCC is around RM20 onwards depending on the demand and timing as well.

The Place
The space is huge and every corner is quite instagram-worthy. This reminds us of an open-space workplace in AirAsia office and Facebook office. It is like creating a fun filled place for everyone to mingle. I took some of the shots for visual sharing.

Homibing Café
The first concept the moment you stepped into the building is Homibing Café, where you can satisfy your Korean bingsu and light hearted desserts including pancakes. Their ice flakes are made fresh in-house daily using fresh ingredients and fruits specially imported from overseas.

We learnt that it takes 7 hours to just to freeze one batch of ice block and few hours more to prepare it before pouring it into the mould. Each ice block only serves 8 portions. Thus, this explains the effort and also the cost of each serving dessert.

Next, spot the in-door container kiosk right next to Homibing Café. They just launched it few days ago and we are lucky to be there on the right day. Hotteok is an all-time Korean street food. The chewy hotteok dough is fried to make a golden crispy outer shell and filled with sweet or savoury filling. This is probably the first Korean hotteok available in Malaysia and Singapore right now. The version here has the mochi texture in the inside and best to enjoy it while it’s hot.

They are currently available in 4 flavours including, honey, egg salad, cream cheese and Jjim Chicken. We tried the honey and Jjim chicken and both taste delicious. But I would prefer the savoury over the sweet ones.

My19Tea

Lastly, their My19Tea is a Korean premium milk tea speciality. They brewed the tea using premium tea leaves and currently using asam and jasmine tea as the base. They also offer Milk Tea Ice-cream RM7.90 ~S$2.633 , which I highly recommend to try. We were quite impressed.

For drinks, I would recommended their Meringue RM13.90~S$4.63. The visual is perfect for the gram and it is an enticing drink. If you prefer fruity tea, go for their fruit tea available from RM11.90 ~S$3.96.
