[JB EATS] Kedai Bak Kut Teh Hin Hock ( 兴福肉骨茶 ) At Tampoi | Johor Bahru
Bak Kut Teh has always been my all time favourite and I shared an article about the bak kut te h places in Johor Bahru before. I am including Kedai Bak Kut Te h Hin Hock in the list as well. It has been years since I last visit this eatery place. This time round I brought my foodie friends to check out the place.
Kedai Bak Kut Teh Hin Hock is known for its bak kut teh and signature poached fish. The other bak kut teh places only specialised in bak kut te h but here you can enjoy more than that. You can always take a grab here but I drove here the other day.
Upon arrival, we secure a table spot before we head over to the counter to order our dishes. Here are the dishes we ordered for our breakfast:
Bak Kut Teh
We ordered mixture of herbal bak kut teh that includes pork ribs, innards and of course dried beancurd skins to complete the meal. And of course order the yam rice to go with it. Robust herbal flavour and yet tasted light and comforting. It has the aftertaste sweetness from Chinese liquorice. Either you like it or not! This is one of my favourite bak kut te h places to go in Johor Bahru.
Poached Fish
Customers can opt for Tilapia or Red Snapper depending on the availability of fresh fishes on that day. You get to choose the size of the fish too. What so special about their fish here is that it is boiled and cooked with generous servings of fried garlic sauce. My friends gave thumbs up.
Minced meat with tofu
Vegetable
Our total bill RM104.75 ~S$34.92 include 4 soft drinks, 1 white rice and 2 yam rice. Payment made at the cashier counter before we left the place. My friends enjoyed the meal and they said they be back for more.
