[M’SIA EATS] AMY HERITAGE NYONYA CUISINE – Peranakan Foods | MELAKA
When in Melaka, do not miss out peranakan cuisine. I settled my lunch by opting for a peranakan food. Reservation was made a week before I headed to Malacca. I know I sound kiasu but just in case I miss it out. The restaurant tables are placed with the reservation tab with names on it. This shows how good business it is for Amy Heritage Nyonya Cuisine. There are many peranakan restaurants in Malacca but only few cooks are pure peranakan who cooks the cuisine. Amy Heritage Nyonya Cuisine is one of the oldest histories in Malacca town who still does that.
I would recommend having this as it is best to start off the meal. The pie tee was crispy and crunchy with the fillings.
Telur Dadar Cincaluk RM6.00 (Size: M)
Omelette fried with cincaluk tasted average for me but it is best to pair with a bowl of white rice.
Udang Lemak Nenas RM28.00 (3 prawns)
I love how the gravy taste of this dish. It is well-done with the combination taste of sweet and sour. The prawns are fresh and easily peeled off and best to dip them with the gravy.
The chicken meat was slightly hard and I thought it would taste better if it is cooked longer. The portioning was generous and the buah keluak was good. The gravy was thick enough to enjoy it with a bowl of white rice.
Chap chye is all you need to fill up your vegetables cravings.
We ended our meal with a bowl of chendol.
We also ordered drinks; Cincau Limau RM2.00 and Chinese Tea RM1.20/per cup. The total Bill was RM78.50 inclusive of a bowl of rice. (No service charge and 6% GST charge). Overall, there are hit and misses for the foods here. If I am back to Malacca, I will explore other peranakan restaurants.Amy Heritage Nyonya Cuisine
