[JB EATS] 深夜食糖 – SYST At Holiday Villa Johor Bahru- Late Night Dessert Spot
Other than savoury suppers from the mamak or food court stalls, you can now have late night dessert spot at 深夜食糖 – SYST. This HK theme café with neon lights has started operating almost two months ago. The café is located at 1st floor of Holiday Villa Johor Bahru and only open from 6pm to 3am daily.
My parents and I visited the café few days ago around 6pm. We were their first customer of the day. The staffs greeted us politely and provided us with the menu and order chit. It is like the typical dessert shops where you place your order on the order chit and make payment at the counter.
I was quite excited to check out their menu initially. However, I was told that some of the desserts are not available in cold or not available at all. We left with not much choice to be honest.
Here are the desserts that we ordered:
Mango Pomelo Sago RM12.90 ~S$4.34
Rockmelon Sago RM10.50~S$3.54
Snow Pear Soup with Peach Gum and Ginseng RM13.90~S$4.68
Egg Tart (2pcs) RM6.50 ~S$2.19
Total bill was RM43.80 ~S$14.75 (no 10% service charge & GST charges applicable). My parents find it so so only and we can get the same taste from local food stalls with cheaper price. As for me, if you are looking for instagram-worthy #ootd spots, this is a place to visit. It has the Hong Kong theme with the neon lights, wall papers, furniture and the overall settings. The space suits for hipster or youngsters instead of elderly I would say. Although desserts can easily be found in local stalls, the ambience of the space is indeed worth-mentioning. Hopefully they will extend their menu in future.
