Swissotel The Stamford is located at one of the strategic area in Singapore. The area is conveniently located within a walking distance from City Hall MRT and also other iconic tourists’ spots. The hotel is also attached to the Raffles City shopping mall that offers everything you need such as food and shopping.
Swissotel The Stamford is currently undergoing renovations in phases til December 2018. You can check the updated information from their official website. Although it is undergoing renovation, business is as usual. I headed over for a weekend staycation at their hotel recently.




Why Swissotel The Stamford?
First, it’s the location of the hotel and the views of the city and harbour from the rooms. The hotel itself has restaurants include Prego, Mikuni and JAAN for your pleasant dining experience. Alternatively, you can walk over to Raffles City shopping mall for more options or even to Suntec City Mall, Marina Square Mall and Esplanade.

Apart from the walking distance shopping malls, the hotel is 2 MRT stops away from Somerset MRT station for shopaholics.

I checked in to newly renovated Premier Room during my time there. As usual, check-ins at the reception counters before heading up to the room. It was my birthday month and they have prepared a box of chocolate as a complimentary gift.

The newly renovated room is beautiful and cosy. The design is classic and minimalist feel as I stepped into the room. They use the rustic colour scheme to teak and stone inspired by chalets in the Swiss Alps. I love the bed the most. It was so comfortable that I stayed in the room most of the time. The room is furnished with motion sensor safety lights and almost everything is touch screen.




It also comes with espresso machine and complimentary bottles of water.

And of course the beautiful views of the city from the room.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The room was booked without complimentary breakfast so upon checking out, we headed to the mall for our brunch session. And the hotel offers quick check out system where hotel guests can just drop their hotel keys into the express check-out box located at the temporary lobby area. It is hassle-free and you can skip the queue.
