[SG Hotel] Weekend Staycation At M Social Singapore

Weekend was well-spent at M Social Singapore, a hotel under Millennium Hotels & Resorts located by the river along Robertson Quay. The design hotel is created by renowned French creator Philippe Starck. The hotel has a total of 293 rooms with following room categories:
• Alcove Cosy (19 sqm)
• Alcove Terrace (19 sqm + 4 sqm terrace)
• Loft Gallery (22 sqm)
• Loft Premier (22 sqm)
• Loft Terrace(22 sqm + 4 sqm terrace)

How To Get There & Parking Rates
Public Transport
The nearest bus stop is the one just outside Four Points by Sheraton or take MRT train to Chinatown, Outram Park, or Tiong Bahru and take a transfer bus to get to M Social. You need to walk for few minutes towards the rear of the Grand Copthorne Hotel and cross Robertson Bridge before you arrive outside Beast and Butterflies or M Social’s restaurant.
By Car
Use google map for easier direction from where you come from. There is no complimentary parking available for hotel guests and you will be charged at these rates:
M Social Hotel Singapore- Car Park
We parked at public carpark along Martin Place/ Muthuraman Chetty Road (M0085). The parking rates for 23 hours 10 minutes was S$15.20. It is definitely cheaper if you park elsewhere.

Check-In & Check-Out
The check-in process was smooth for us. We reached around 1.50pm and queued for approximately 20 minutes to get our room key. We had to go through the healthy declaration and temperature screening right outside the hotel before we proceed to the reception desk for our hotel key. These are the precautionary measures to be taken due to the COVID-19 situation.
As for check-out, you can opt for Express Check-out where you just need to fill up your details on the card itself and place it on the Express Check-out box at the hotel lobby. That is what I did when I check out that day.

The Room

M Hotel Singapore- Loft Gallery Room Bed
During my media stay over the weekend, I stayed at Loft Gallery room located at Level 7th. The main difference between the Loft Gallery and Loft Premier rooms are the location of the beds. If you prefer the bed on ground level, go for Loft Gallery room or otherwise.
You can watch my video for the full glimpse of the staycation.

The room consists of Queen-sized with shiny bedside table on one side on the bottom. I loved the soft and fluffy pillows here and the bed was comfortable too. I slept well throughout the night. The couch, work desk, chair an the television is located at the upper level for Loft Gallery room.M Hotel Singapore- Loft Gallery Room 1
There is a Nespresso machine with couple of coffee capsules, complimentary tea bags and 2 bottles of mineral water stored in the fridge.M Hotel Singapore- Loft Gallery Room 2
As for the toiletries, the hotel uses generic Millennium Hotels toiletries.
The hotel also prepared a care package that consists of hand sanitizer, masks, and anti-bacterial wipes. This is part of Millennium’s “We Clean, We Care, We Welcome” commitment.

The Wi-Fi here are free for all guests. No password is required, and the speed is stable and fast. It is good enough for Netflix no lagging experience.

Food
With the no dine-in measures taken place, we can only order takeaway food. Thus, we head over to Beast and Butterflies, the hotel restaurant to order our dinner. The whole process of ordering and takeaway process took 20 minutes, and we got our food packed and all ready to enjoy in the room. I have been to the restaurant several times and their modern Asian cuisine was good. The dishes are influences from East and West, which priced at a reasonable pricing.

As for breakfast, we were given an order sheet to tick our breakfast set. Once you chosen the choice of breakfast, pass the order sheet to the hotel reception. They will process the order and serve on the designated time that you stated. I would suggest skipping the local breakfast because of the portion. It is shown on my photo for your better idea.

Review
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the hotel is taking the utmost care to make sure all precautionary measures are taken place. We are in our room most of the time except to collect our dinner at Beast and Butterflies. The hotel stay package includes either Art Jamming or Cocktail session. We had the opportunity to try both during our stay.

Thus, we spent the whole afternoon enjoying and exploring the DIY Art Jamming Kit and DIY Cocktail kit. Here our end results. It was fun exploring it with the instructions given.
