The craze over Gudetama continues in Hong Kong as Izumi Curry located at The One Shopping Mall decided to convert into a gudetama theme café. If you are not aware, Gudetama is one of sanrio character that was created in year 2013. You can google for the short anime series that trigger your interest.
My first visit was Dim Sum Icon few months back and here I am visiting the new addition in F&B scene in Hong Kong. I was there with my 2 cousins and aunt. Total of 4 pax and waited for approximately 30 minutes to secure a table. The queue here was not as crazy as Dim Sum Icon though.




 The place is fully decorated with Gudetama-theme and even the chairs are in egg shape. There are plushies at the seating area where customers can grab it and take photos with it.
We looked through the limited menu list and decided on our order. We decided on 2 sets which costs us additional HKD18 ~S$3.60 that comes with a drink and pudding each. In case you are wondering the waiting time, the foods were served within 20 minutes time.

Western Food (Special Omelette rice with bacons and sausage HKD99 ~S$19.80
 This dish is nice to see and photogenic but disappointing taste. I only had few mouths of it and I just leave it aside.

Pork Fillet with Omelette Curry Rice HKD119 ~S$23.80
 The pork fillet was too hard and dry. The rice was tasteless. The saving grace here is the curry gravy.

Beef with Omelette Curry Rice HKD109~ S$21.80
 The beefs were salty for my preference and the rice was tasteless too.

Tempura Curry Noodle HKD89 ~S$17.80
 The curry noodle was the best among the rest of the dishes we ordered that night.

Pudding from the set

Our total bill was HKD497.20 ~S$99.40 for this dinner which is very expensive. We were quite disappointed with the foods here. However, if you are a Gudetama lover, you wouldn’t want to miss this. But, I wouldn’t suggest this place if you are looking for affordable and better meal to fill your stomach.
