Chinese New Year in a week time! 313@Somerset which is accessible via Somerset MRT has kick off the festive seasons with a lineup of activities for its shoppers themed “Where Your Wishes Take Off”. One of which is a state-of-the-art interactive digital sky lanterns display where you get to pen your Chinese New Year wishes on colourful sky lanterns and release them into the starry sky, digitally. This is my 1st digital sky lantern ever.

” How does it work? “

Step 1: 313@Somerset provides the app on the iPad provided in their mall at Level 1 Atrium for public to create sky lantern (It comes in 8 designs representing romance, career, prosperity, etc).

Step 2: But first, you can choose to login in to FB to synchronize.

STEP 3: Select the corresponding wishes options.There are standard wishes to choose from.

STEP 4: Then you can ‘release’ your lantern with personalized profile picture via sign in FB into the sky, projected on a giant LED Screen.
STEP 5: Lastly, you can share the sky lantern and greetings with friends on your Facebook. No limit in the number of lanterns one can create and release. It’s FREE for shoppers.

If digital sky lantern is not your cup of tea, there is also a physical Wall of Wishes for those who prefer to have handwritten. There are ready lantern-shaped card available for you to write your wishes and hang them on the wall. The staffs will prepare the colourful pens for you to write your wishes.I did mine and it was great fun as I did my doodling and wrote my wishes.

The activities are happening from now till 6 February 2016.So, make your wishes and cast away the negativity for this Chinese New Year!
