So, I went Penang again over the weekend with another group of friends. This time round, I stayed in Airbnb and we explore Georgetown attraction places. One of them is Wonderfood Museum. Penang has quite a number of different museums around the island and Wonderfood Museum was established 21 November 2015. The Penangites are quite smart I would say attracting tourists by all kinds of museums. Just like the name of the museum, Wonderfood, it is a food wonderland where the food are made of synthetics, plastic, silicone and mixture of chemicals and materials. This is also the place where you shouldn’t be visiting with your stomach empty. Confirm will feel hungry looking at it because almost all the food looks so real that you might want to take a bit. I kid you not.

The aim of the museum is to promote the multi-cultural food in Malaysia. The museum is divided into 3 Zones. (Information Zone , WoW Zone and Educational Zone).

 Giant Replica Penang Food display right in front of us as we snapped all the way.
There is also food scene with message on it. One of them is “If food can change color, we can change the way we look at life” and “If food is color blind, we can live without discrimination”. Sound profound!
There are also gorgeous food cuisines flatlay according to Malaysia’s 3 main cultures- Malay, Chinese and Indian. Can you name all the dishes without looking at the reference at the side?

There is also miniature display on the development of Penang as shown in pictures.
Also, there is this Golden room where they showcase replica of most expensive foods around the world. The gold on the food is made of real gold, mind you!
 Moving on there is a section where foods are displayed together with the amount of sugar it has by its own.
Lastly, there is a reminder sign telling not to waste food before end of the tour.
It was quite fun playing with the props available and snapping the moments. I think kids will not feel bored and enjoy it. The only part that I want to complain is that all the display will only make you feel hungry and craving for it.
