The hotel is known as one of the Far East’s most prestigious and historic building of the British colonial era. The hotel is fondly known as “E&O Hotel’ . Eastern & Oriental Hotel has two wings- Heritage Wing (old wing) and Victory Annexe (new wing). We stayed in Victory Annexe Suite. Johor Bahru cafes are expanding fast and you get to see new cafes opening almost every other month. Apart from the cafes near the JB Checkpoint , Mount Austin and Taman Molek, it’s time to venture to Taman Ungku Tun Aminah. This area is located quite a distance from JB checkpoint but nearer to Sutera area. If you are taking Grab/ Uber from JB checkpoint, the fee is approximately RM25~RM35 (one way) depending on traffic, timing and demand on that point of time.
